The first mistake a business must avoid is setting up a Profile insead of a Page.

The first mistake businesses make is setting up a Profile instead of a Page. When Facebook was initially created Pages were not available and a lot of businesses decided that profiles were the way to interact on Facebook, but this is not the case.

Facebook are adding more and more functionality, especially for businesses, and all this extra functionality is focused on the Page.

There are numerous differences between Profiles and Pages, which makes Pages absolutely 100% the only way for businesses to get a lot of value out of Facebook.

A lot of businesses are still making this basic error and still setting up profiles and wondering why they are not getting the same visibility or the same functionality or analytics form the system as competitors.
